Plastique

The other day when I was browsing a local bookstore I came across a magazine, and within minutes I was in love!
How could I have not heard of Plastique Magazine before? It's tagline is 'Explosive Fashion' and that is the perfect way to describe Plastique. Amazing spreads, rich colors and photography, not too much filler or advertisments, and great articles all make Plastique tres fantastique!
Not to mention the fashion is killer!
This gown took my breathe away. The delicate feathers mixed with the bold colors is so beautiful and modern.
This was taken from a crime scene spread featuring fine jewels mixed with "evidence", very creative.
This necklace made me die, and this beach-side spread was so beautiful.
This dress is so FIERCE. The back is completely composed of fringe, I can't imagine anything more sexy! Although I don't know if I would ever have the va-va-va-voom to wear this, it's still fun to dream.
Each and every spread is beautiful and creative and gutsy.
The bad part of this magazine was the high price, for me at least, living in the States, but it was totally worth it for this chic new obsession.

My Closet

I must admit... I'm a closet junkie, I love closets and just a tad obsessive about how mine is organized, especially since there's so little space to fit everything, especially my poor dresses which are stuffed into about a foot and a half of space to the right of my dresser.
I keep all of my tops and some dresses folded since there isn't enough room to hang them all, which means I go through irons quite frequently.

Most people gawk at my shoe collection and call it over indulgent, but I firmly believe that the most important aspect of a look are the shoes!
Though I have heels for special occasions and nights on the town, flats dominate my closet, as I'm already self-conscious about my 5'10'' height, especially while in school.

I keep my vintage Fendi doctor's readily available for everyday use, as it is my love.
My jewelry collection mainly consists of vintage finds from thrift stores, lately I've scowered every good will and second hand in town for chunky cocktail rings and a nice sturdy jewelry box. Unfortunately, I recently lost a gorgeous vintage dome ring that was composed of daisies with little flowers resting on the surface... such a shame!
I'm not a huge clutch fan but some of these were so pretty I just couldn't pass them up, and for the lace, black, and gold clutches on top, they were each just a dollar at Target, and go with basically anything, what a find!

Inspirations

London spring fashion shows this year were fabulous! The best part of spring and summer is COLOR! And look at these terrific new styles, love, love, love the mix of masculine and feminine.
W Magazine's April issue has an amazing spread taken in the Dominica filled with lush fabric, colors, and fashion. This photograph taken by Juergen Teller features Alberta Ferretti's silk chiffon dress with Lanvin earrings and necklace. Every shot in this spread is absolutely gorgeous and I would feature everyone if it wouldn't take up so much room!
Jane Aldridge, if you don't know already, is the beautiful young lady behind seaofshoes, hands down the best fashion blog on the internet today, these outfits were both such knock-outs I just had to feature her twice!

Commes des garcons out-of-this-world show was so phenomenal, they're at the top of their game, so beautiful!

-Thanks for checking out my first blog-more to come in the future!
